Abstract: This tutorial discusses the main real-time operating system services defined in the POSIX standards. These services allow application developers to write portable applications that meet their real-time requirements. The tutorial reviews the different services from the perspective of an Ada application, and discusses which of the different options and services are more suitable for developing real-time applications in Ada.
